1. Our Commitment to Transparency

AsetraX (Assets Property Hub) is committed to being transparent about commercial relationships that may influence the content or recommendations you see on this Platform or in communications from AsetraX Affiliate Partners.

This Affiliate Disclosure applies to:

  • AsetraX’s own promotional and editorial content on the Platform
  • Content created and published by Affiliate Partners participating in the AsetraX Referral Program

This disclosure is made in accordance with the Fair Trading Act 1986 (NZ), the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), and general principles of honest and transparent commercial communication.

2. The AsetraX Referral Program

AsetraX operates an affiliate referral program (“Program”) through which approved participants (“Affiliate Partners”) can earn a commission by referring new paying members to the Platform.

How it works:

  • Each Affiliate Partner is issued a unique referral link tracked via AffiliateWP
  • When a new user clicks an Affiliate Partner’s referral link and purchases a Membership, the Affiliate Partner earns a commission
  • Commissions are subject to a holding period of 14–30 days before becoming eligible for payout
  • No commission is earned on refunded transactions, fraudulent purchases, self-referrals, or referrals of existing registered users

The commission structure does not affect:

  • The price you pay for a Membership, it is the same whether or not you arrive via a referral link
  • The quality, features, or terms of any Membership tier
  • The content of any listing or editorial material on the Platform

3. Disclosure by AsetraX

3.1 Third-Party Affiliate Relationships

AsetraX may from time to time promote or link to third-party products, tools, or services on the Platform or in email communications. Where AsetraX earns a referral fee, commission, or other compensation from a third-party provider in connection with such a promotion, this will be disclosed clearly at the point of promotion using language such as:

“This link is an affiliate link. If you make a purchase through this link, AsetraX may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.”

3.2 Hosting and Tools

AsetraX uses third-party platforms and tools to operate the Platform, including Hostinger (web hosting and email), Hostinger Reach (email marketing), Stripe and PayPal (payment processing), and AffiliateWP (affiliate tracking). Some of these relationships may involve referral or reseller arrangements. Where compensation is received, it does not influence our editorial independence or recommendations.

4. Disclosure Requirements for Affiliate Partners

All Affiliate Partners participating in the AsetraX Referral Program are required to disclose their affiliate relationship clearly and prominently whenever they promote AsetraX or share their referral link. This is a condition of participation in the Program and is required by applicable law.

4.1 What Must Be Disclosed

Affiliate Partners must disclose:

  • that they are a participant in the AsetraX Referral Program
  • that they may earn a commission if a user purchases a Membership through their referral link

4.2 When and Where to Disclose

Disclosures must appear:

  • before the referral link, not buried at the end of content
  • in a position where the audience will see it before deciding to click or act
  • in language that is clear, prominent, and easy to understand, not hidden in small print or behind a hyperlink

4.3 Approved Disclosure Language

Affiliate Partners may use or adapt the following approved disclosure statements:

For website or blog content:

“Disclosure: I am an Affiliate Partner of AsetraX (Assets Property Hub). If you purchase a Membership through my referral link, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. I only recommend platforms I genuinely believe in.”

For social media posts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X):

“#ad #affiliated, I earn a commission if you sign up to AsetraX through my link. Price is the same for you.”

Or use platform-native disclosure tools where available (e.g. Instagram’s “Paid Partnership” tag or Facebook’s branded content tool) in addition to a written disclosure in the caption.

For email:

“Please note: this email contains an affiliate link. If you sign up to AsetraX through the link below, I may receive a commission. This does not affect the price you pay.”

For video content (YouTube, TikTok, Reels):

State verbally at the beginning of the video: “This video contains an affiliate link to AsetraX. If you sign up through my link I may earn a commission.”
Also include the disclosure in the video description above the fold (before “show more”).

4.4 What Is Not Acceptable

The following disclosure practices are not compliant and may result in termination of your Affiliate Partner account:

  • Placing the disclosure only at the bottom of a long post or page
  • Using vague language such as “thanks to our sponsor” without identifying the commercial relationship
  • Hiding the disclosure behind a link (e.g. “see disclosure”)
  • Omitting the disclosure entirely on the basis that followers “already know”
  • Using the words “honest review” or “unbiased” in content that is commercially incentivised without disclosing the incentive

5. Legal Basis

5.1 New Zealand

Under the Fair Trading Act 1986 (NZ), misleading or deceptive conduct in trade is prohibited. This includes failing to disclose a material commercial relationship that could influence a consumer’s decision. The Commerce Commission (NZ) has the power to investigate and take enforcement action against undisclosed affiliate or influencer marketing.

5.2 Australia

Under the Australian Consumer Law, businesses and individuals engaged in trade or commerce must not engage in conduct that is misleading or deceptive, or likely to mislead or deceive. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has published guidance confirming that undisclosed paid endorsements and affiliate arrangements may breach the ACL.

5.3 Other Jurisdictions

Where Affiliate Partners publish content in other jurisdictions, they are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable local advertising and disclosure laws.

6. No Endorsement

The existence of an affiliate relationship between AsetraX and an Affiliate Partner does not constitute an endorsement by AsetraX of the Affiliate Partner’s business, content, or professional advice. AsetraX is not responsible for any representations made by Affiliate Partners about the Platform that go beyond what is stated in official AsetraX materials.
